Levels 7-9 culiminate the classical ballet curriculum and performance repertoire

for advanced students ranging in ages from 13 to 18 years old. The training syllabus is based on a comprehensive gradation of technique and pointe work with infusions of relevant dance idioms and repertoire. Dancers train at least 15 hours (5 days) per week with an expectation of a full summer program. A placement class is required for all new students.

Training to performance is a significant component to the education of our dancers.  Level 7-9 dancers participate in Marin Ballet’s annual production of Nutcracker performed at Marin Center. And, in addition to Spring Concert and other special performances, students ages 14 and over may also be selected to represent Marin Ballet at the Regional Dance America/Pacific festival held each spring.  A summer training regime is required for all advanced students.
